The paean calls on all people great and small \u2014 from kings to \u201cmaidens\u201d \u2014 to sing YHWH\u2019s praises.<br><br>But I might add that this psalmist also gives souls to all of creation \u2014 sun, moon, stars, nature\u2019s four elements, all plants and animals on land and at sea. That sounds much like animism to me.<br><br>And so, if a rock, a tree, or a cloud can love something greater than itself, does that mean that it \u2014 or that he, or she, or they \u2014 can be loved back?
