Just three short verses in this one, addressed to \u201c[a]ll you servants of the Lord, \/ Who by night stand in the house of the Lord!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These \u201cservants\u201d must be like the few dependable church-goers I remember from my childhood who would always attend Sunday night Bible studies and Wednesday evening prayer meetings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cLift up your hands in the sanctuary, \/ And bless the Lord,\u201d says the psalmist. Or maybe they\u2019re more like a charismatic crowd of faith healers, rattlesnake handlers, foot washers or holy rollers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I really do hate to see the end of these special songs that were sung by the Ancient Hebrews as they ascended the Judean hills toward Jerusalem.
