But even Rev. Spurgeon gets it wrong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It compares humanity to YHWH as servants to Master and maids to Mistress \u2014 as slaves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Spurgeon, however, sees the roles as children to Father, though those words are not used.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The preacher misses the point \u2014 that slaves \u201care \u2026 filled with contempt\u201d for the Master.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But maybe Spurgeon hated his real father.
