Well, then \u201cYou\u201d is another person.<br><br>I wager that Asaph is addressing the big \u201cYou\u201d in this psalm, calling YAH out for favoring evil men and ignoring the poor. And there&#8217;s more.<br><br>Asaph says YHWH \u201cjudges among the gods,\u201d using a little \u201cg\u201d for the first time I can recall. I think scholars saw a big \u201cG\u201d as a big problem.<br><br>Even preacher Spurgeon interprets \u201cgods\u201d as \u201cthe great ones of the earth\u201d \u2014 his words, not Asaph\u2019s. Spurgeon refers to kings and judges.<br><br>But that isn&#8217;t what Asaph\u2019s really saying, not if we read this psalm in the context of the others he wrote.
