Sometimes I feel snakebit, like everything I touch has been poisoned. I ask for help, but no one seems to hear me or see me. It\u2019s like I\u2019m invisible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other people \u2014 usually \u201ctrue believers\u201d \u2014 whine about every little thing that goes wrong; and when they get their way, everybody hears about it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To them, I\u2019m lower than a snake in the grass. I\u2019m a pissant, a maggot in something they just stepped in. They hate me worse than that on their shoes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They look at me and laugh. \u201cThis guy\u2019s always running his mouth about some universal spirit,\u201d they scoff, \u201cso let his ever-loving iSoul save his ass.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But all my life I\u2019ve known there\u2019s more to spiritual salvation or cosmic consciousness or whatever you want to call it than what you hear in any church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many of those true believers mainly believe in making money, piling it high, and burying the poor and the weak with it. Their alternate truth is just lies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019m washed up. I don\u2019t have the heart to keep fighting. I\u2019m surrounded by lying jackals who want to steal all I have left \u2014 to rip the shirt right off my back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I just hope that the quiet folks speak up before it\u2019s too late and show the true believers that the domain of the universal spirit is within us all, even them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then all people who ever live and die will know \u2014 as I do, when playing possum \u2014 that we have met our enemies and our friends alike, and they all are us.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
